Mood: waiting for wind
23rd March 2009
Windsurfing: Pevensey Bay
Wind Direction: W going NW
Wind Stength: 20mph +
Surf / Sea State: Flat with odd small wave
Air Temperature: 12 degs
Sea Temperature: ok
Weather: overcast
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

With a heads up from my 'man in the bay' that it was cross-shore and 20 mph, an early finish was called for.
Headed down to Pevensey to meet up with Mark and Francis and as I got there it did as forecast and started it's switch cross-off WSW - W.
Francis did a couple of runs on his 5.0m and came in to rig a 5.6m on a 105ltr (ish?) Stoke.
Mark had rigged his 5.25m Tushy on RRD 105 and was considering rigging bigger.
With Francis being a relative lightweight and the wind switching more and more offshore, I went all 'safe' and rigged the 10'5 and 6.3m Ego.
Perfect ..... in as much as my rigging big encouraged the wind to fill in a bit. Oh well, too lazy to change down so just got on with it and had great fun, although admittedly I was a touch over powered at times.
Fun session, and the clocks change soon .... it'll warm up ... and we'll get loads of afternoon / evening sea breeze sessions.
Could be described as a turning point session as the summer season is now within sight ..... and there is wind forecast to see it in :-)
